We visited Audley End House, a beautiful mansion house in fabulous grounds, I was particularly taken with this cedar tree, as much because I had never realised these types of trees were cedars. My lack of knowledge of plant life generally is quite staggering 😉
We took a walk around Rickling Green today. At the start (and end) of the walk is a small wood that you walk through and I looked up to see this.
So, today I finished off my 4,000 word assignment for my Marketing diploma and followed that up with completing my City and Guilds homework and then attended the City & Guilds class in the evening…so I didn’t get a whole lot of time for actual photography. I had to choose
Back in 2010 I went on my first photowalk which was the Scott Kelby Worldwide Photowalk around Bishop’s Stortford. Since then I have been on umpteen walks but I can count the good shots on 1 hand. Don’t get me wrong – I really enjoy these photowalks…and that’s the problem
I don’t think there are many town in the world that can boast a better view than this even on a drizzily Friday morning in the autumn. This shot came top in in our City & Guilds one shot challenge competition as well 😉
During our short stay in Northumberland we stayed in a lovely cottage on the River Coquet at Warksworth. This shot is of Warkworth Castle taken from about 800 yards down river from where we were staying.
This shot sums up our few days away in Northumberland – beautiful weather and beautiful scenery. Taken on our walk along the coast starting from Boulmer (pronounced Boomer).

Hatfield Forest is a 15 minute drive from Great Dunmow so we visit quite regularly. On this particular visit I went along at dawn with a group of photographers from the Dunmow Photography Club
