The wife and I gave up smoking 8½ years ago but strangely still have various bits of smoking paraphernalia dotted around the house, including this lighter: Please do click the image to get a bigger version so you can see all the sparking goodness!
Our oldest cat is starting to look his age – I won’t embarrass him by telling you all 😉 However I liked this shot of him because he looked so sad, actually he was quite happy, just hacked off that I was, once again, taking his picture.
Built in the 1860’s, North Pier is Blackpool’s oldest pier.
This is a shot of the Central Pier at Blackpool showing the Big Wheel there. I think you can tell the type of weather we enjoyed – very much sunshine and showers!
Today was the day of the funeral so there wasn’t much opportunity for photography, however, I did meet my brothers dog Reggie for the first time – what a softy! I haven’t done a black and white shot for ages, this just seemed to fit somehow.

I popped out for a walk late afternoon/early evening and decided to head down to the Flitch Way in Dunmow. I’ve been on the Flitch Way at Little Dunmow and Little Canfield, but never in Great Dunmow. So off I set, thinking I knew exactly how to get to it…of
3 days on the trot – and 3 different windmills. This one lost it’s sails in 2010. I’ve had to switch back to Photomatix because Nik HDR Efex Pro 2 seems to be having real issues with wide ranges of exposure.
