I had a walk around Doctors Pond in the evening, it was surprisingly cool. The sunset wasn’t up to much, but turning around the clouds were picking up some nice colours.

Something simple today after quite a few busy HDR and macro shots. A silhouette of some of the houses on my street with the moon coming up behind them.

A very busy (but successful) day saw me work through lunch so when I get home I didn’t have a picture to share. Fortunately a walk to the Co-Op for some milk was required and I got this shot of the Great Dunmow high street. I may be wrong, but

I popped out to the Post Office in Dunmow this morning and came across this bicycle parked up against this leaning post (why does everything lean in Dunmow?). I was very annoyed with myself as I didn’t (very unusually) have any camera gear with me at all…not even my phone.

There are a few little passages or ginnels around Dunmow – here’s one of them that comes out just behind the 16th century (old) town hall…the building with the bell tower. It would appear the gardens are all trying to escape into the ginnel.

Having just got rid of the fair, Great Dunmow is now home to the Circus. After a busy day at work with no time to grab a shot I thought getting a shot of The Big Top would be just the thing, and throw in a bit of a sunset

I have been known to take the occasional photograph of Doctors Pond. When Debbie (my wife) saw the colour version of this she groaned and said I was clicheing (I might have made up that word) my own cliches! Now, I had gone out with the intention of taking a

I received a request via the web site from a lady in Australia who was looking for any shots of Bigods Farm and house as she is related to a John Jenour who was apparently given Bigods by Henry VIII.

I took a stroll around Dunmow this evening – down to the church and then back around the recreation ground, but it was my Doctors Pond photo from right at the beginning of the walk that immediately caught my eye…it will be interesting how the other, later shots come out.

Always look behind you! We had another fairly disappointing sunset this evening, unusually there was more colour opposite the sunset…and the moon had made an appearance as well. If you would like a print of this picture you can get one here – https://shop.markseton.co.uk/Great-Dunmow/i-8NDLVc9/A
