It’s been another filthy day today. There was a great hail storm followed by a torrential downpour that flooded all the roads on my way home. By the time I got home though the clouds were just breaking open and we got this sunset over Doctors Pond.
A quick view of Doctors Pond and this evenings sunrise. Someone was having a bonfire so, yes, that is smoke on the water 😉
I’d just got back from work, it had been solid grey all day, and I just happened to glance out of the window. It was really quite dark, but there was a great red sunset happening, I grabbed my camera and took this. One minute later and we were back
I was up early on Sunday, but missed the sun rise…so not that early. Still, Dunmow was quiet and Doctors Pond was very still giving some great reflections.
Doctors Pond in Great Dunmow is just down the road from where I live and so I get to photograph it quite often. I was particularly pleased with how today’s early morning 5 shot HDR came out.
It absolutely chucked it down this afternoon and this was the view out of our bathroom window after the storm had moved past – apparently we have clear skies and a frost tonight… You can see the sunset over Doctors Pond here.
So it snowed all night in Dunmow and we all woke up to the first snow of the winter. Here’s how Doctors Pond looked like this morning
The first snow of winter in Great Dunmow and I was out early doors to catch it before all the sledging began. This is a secondary pond behind the larger (and more famous) Doctors Pond.
Taken a couple of weeks ago at the same time as this Dunmow sunrise shot this one shows Dunmow as it would probably appear on fire!
