Sunday dinner – Roast Chicken with all the trimmings…including carrots.
Macro photography is always very enjoyable, not least because you find out what everyday objects actually look like. Today, peppercorns – I had no idea they had this interesting texture.
Quiet day today – this is a pad of paper I have on my desk that is formed into a spiral
My mate Mat is the grasshopper king so I was delighted to find this fella in the undergrowth at Dunmow cutting this afternoon He very obligingly popped onto the grass stalk for me to photograph him 😉
I’m not entirely sure what this is – I’m guessing it’s some sort of ornamental finger guard and pin cushion that stands guard over Debbie’s knitting.

We took one of our regular walks through Rowney Woods today and I spotted this (to me) slightly unusual thistle. It was the spider/eyelash effect under the purple flower that caught my eye…Turns out this is not a thistle but Black Knapweed. Having some fun in Photoshop turned this into
