Short of something to shoot tonight I spied my morning cereal and thought it would make a decent macro subject. The “sky” was created by my PC monitor.

I thought this would be more interesting than it turned out. The knife is still apparently really sharp, but in this macro shot you can see the two edges that make up the sharp blade are actually splitting apart.

The sun’s out…at last. The leaves are looking particularly green and, because it was nice and bright, I thought I’d see if I could get a decent macro shot…and here you go

The sun made a brief appearance just after I got home from work so I dived into the back garden and caught this pretty pink flower that my wife reliably informs me is a weed 😉

It’s nice when a photo comes out just how you envisioned it. I saw this dandelion head last night – it was perfect, but I’ve shot those before so I ignored it. When I went out into the garden this evening I was not surprised to see it had been

I popped out into the garden just before the heaven’s opened for today’s deluge and caught this tiny forget-me-not that had recently bloomed. I like the painted effect that the very limited depth of field created.

It may look like an old biscuit, but this is, in fact, a dried orange.

Looking through the fridge this evening I came across a few Strawberries left over from the weekend. We’d had a bit of a Strawberry frenzy with both of us returning from work clutching punnets of the fruit. It was a little disappointing to find that the few that were left
