We had cabbage with our tea tonight (Shepherd’s Pie if you’re interested). The left over leaves immediately caught my eye for a quick macro black and white abstract sort of shot..nand I made 3 of the shots into a triptych…
Despite being up early doors I still didn’t have a shot for today until late into the evening when I broke out the 50mm f1.4 and played with lines and a narrow depth of field. I enjoyed the abstract nature of this picture of a floor lamp in our living
This is one of those shots that needs to be taken again…but next time it needs to be done right…a number of school boy errors, but the worst one was taking everything down and putting it all away before checking the photograph was OK. There has already been too much
He doesn’t often allow me to take his picture, especially not close up, so I was very honoured that he sat still and let me get in his face!
Another emergency “what’s on my desk” shot! This time a metal torch is given the macro treatment.
It’s been a cold and very foggy day today in Dunmow…at least where I live. If you walked up to the High Street you got above the fog and it was a clear blue sky…still very cold though.
Today’s shot is a straight forward black and white of telephone cables in the fog…obviously I’ve fiddled with it to make it this very high key image.
Today’s been the first day for a while that I haven’t had a picture by dinner time. So Badger, ensconced on his new favourite place got the full treatment…sadly the radiator behind him rather spoilt the picture…but we sorted it out eventually.
We popped out to Rowney Woods this morning for a walk. Whilst there were some pretty threatening clouds around the sun did periodically make an appearance as it did in this shot as we were leaving the woods, lighting up the young oak tree at the entrance.
We’re heading into the time of year when it is difficult to get out when it’s light…although I was out at sunrise this morning…but it was flat grey so nothing worth shooting, except a very nice large Grey Stork…but I had the wrong lens on my camera (a very common
