I found these steel balls with holes drilled through the middle and was trying to make a bit of an abstract image, but I actually preferred this image because of the bokeh surrounding the steel balls.
We had elections for the new police and crime commissioners today and on my way to voting I took this shot. I was particularly taken with the fact that this shot could have easily been taken anytime in the last 40 years and so thought it was a good candidate

Today’s shot is of a can of Right Guard anti-perspirant being deployed in black and white. I thought this would be harder to capture than it actually was.
Great Dunmow used to have a railway line running through it that started in Bishop’s Stortford and finished, 45 minutes later in Braintree (and vice versa). The passenger service ended in 1952 with goods traffic continuing to use the line until its close in 1969. Following the demise of the
Walking through Rowney Woods today we were passed by these two gentlemen on their tandem bike. They got a fair old shift on as they completed the circuit around Rowney Woods very quickly.
