I have no idea how this leaf managed to get itself stuck to the trunk of this tree, but I am grateful that it did as you don’t often see a leaf that is orange, yellow and green all at once.

A quick stroll around Rowney Woods this morning before the weather closed in. This entrance into the woods doesn’t actually exist but I took one picture of this area as we arrived and then a second picture (including the people) as we left. I then combined the two in photoshop

We took our Sunday afternoon walk in Garnetts Wood today, I very mild overcast autumn day – perfect for a pleasant walk. I got a view shots and include them here for your enjoyment.

Continuing my occasional deliberate camera motion series we have this shot of some of trees in Rowney Woods, not a particularly original shot but enjoyable none the less. I couldn’t decide whether to publish this shot or the following shot as my shot of the day. I deliberately went for

Red, Yellow, Green, these leaves just across the road from our house are showing off the colours of Autumn beautifully.

Flew back into Heathrow this morning and was greeted by typical autumnal weather…heavy rain. It was nice to be home though. This is a shot of the ceiling under which I awaited the arrival of my baggage off the plane.

I was pleased with this shot I took of these fading ivy leaves I spotted on my way to the Post Office this afternoon, the perfect simple composition that fulfilled the 365 brief nicely, just a shame I had a leaf yesterday as well…still, I do feel this is different

We’ve had a great Autumn, but the weather is definitely closing in now. Rain all day today, with just the briefest of pauses…and I was lucky enough to be out at Alton Water on Lemons Hill when that pause happened…but it really was not a pleasant day to be stood on

The first signs of autumn are beginning to come through. I’ve been noticing fungi appearing in a few places and the grassed area outside the office has suddenly sprouted a fair collection of mushrooms…
